A CFD picture is not a measurement

A color plot is a picture until the measurement sheet exists.
A color plot is a picture until the measurement sheet exists.

Original diagram. Not a site record.

A CFD report is a picture until the measurement method is in the pack. The points were named as a person would walk them. The instruments and the times are written. The report says what a result may be used for, and what it may not. Missing any of those, you may file the picture. You may not sign "airflow proved" or "the hall is cool."

Color is not a temperature. The scale on the slide was chosen by the person who wanted the slide. It is not the specification. Looking for the reddest rack is not reading the report. Look for the measurement sheet.

A model dated before a rack move, a tile change, or a setpoint change is a picture of a hall that is gone. Do not ask for "updated colors" in the meeting and then sign. An update is a new report. You read it later.

If the measurement is promised next week, the airflow sentence waits until next week. "Subject to measurement" is how the sentence gets quoted without the subject.
